Jeff is an artist living in Portland, Oregon. After working in Germany, France and the United Kingdom, he co-founded Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd Architects in 1981 in Minneapolis, Minnesota (now called MSR Design). He retired in the fall of 2016. For over 40 years his architectural interest and personal passion was the public library and its role in education.
His art work focuses on the human form and condition and his dreams. He uses his art work to help libraries do more in their communities by giving all of the proceeds from the sale of his works to library and literacy related organizations. If you would like to have one of his artworks, please contact him at https://www.schererworks.com/artist-contact/. You can either donate the cost of the artwork to your favorite local library or literacy organizations; or Jeff will send you an invoice for the work and choose the library or literacy agency. In both cases there is a nominal charge for materials and the actual cost of shipping.
He writes articles as part of this website which are musing about life, art, politics and philosophy. This is a direct link to the articles.
